Horseback riding lessons in Arkansas, near Hot Springs & Little Rock

The Sutton Ranch offers horsemanship lessons from beginning to advanced.  Misti Sutton focuses on helping her riders develop confidence.  She can help improve your skills at any level from beginner to a competitive rider.  Misti was a very competitive barrel racer and can help you learn this fun event or become more competitive.  Private lessons are preferable so she can dedicate the entire lesson to you.  This also helps her to watch your posture, hands, feet and movement along with the horses every move.  She is willing to give lessons with your horse or can provide a horse for each lesson.  

The rider is encouraged to purchase a proper fitting riding helmet.  This will be your responsibility and preference. 

The lesson will depend on the riders level of skills, each lesson will advance from the first.

Steps for lessons when bringing your own horse: $35 per hour

Unload, groom & saddle

We will review your skills with some drills

We will begin lessons based upon the review

After the lesson you will then unsaddle and groom your horse before loading

Our policy is to meet your needs where you are at and help you grow.  Everyone has to start somewhere.  Champions were once beginners.  If you schedule a lesson, please show integrity and respect by showing up and being prompt.  If you cannot make the lesson please give us as much advance notice as possible.  Thank you for understanding.
